Trip to Bali – O/I Cruise Adventure 2008

This time, I would like to share my adventurous trip to Bali. It was an ‘outing’ program entitled “O/I Cruise Adventure 2008”. The program was supposed to be a time for the employee to relax and having fun. Thanx boss 🙂

Yep, that was helluva fun.. and very tiring also. I just realized that I’m not as energetic as I was in my youth 🙂 But, hey .. thanks to the hardwork of the organizer, a committee of people who have dedicated their time to make this program run well. Good job, guys!

Here are some snaps of hotel where we stayed (Palm Beach International)

One of the most exciting part of the trip is cruising to Nusa Lembongan (Lembongan Island). Depart from Tanjung Benoa, at the south-end of Bali, the cruise took about 1 and half hour.

In Lembongan Island, I and my colleagues spent our time by swimming, snorkelling, canoeing and riding banana boat. If I have to remember, it was so long that I had a vacation in a beach and doing such things above. Unfortunately, that was all I can get in a tour package .. as I actually wanted to try the ‘flying-fish’ as well.

Yeah, the thing we did in Nusa Lembongan is fun. But then, we have to deal with the sea-sickness (I don’t know .. being in a sea for long time didn’t work quite well for me 🙂 )

At the second day, we had another exciting program: a rafting along Ayung river. The rafting was fun, but the way we took to reach the river and also back to the station from it was very exhaustive. I couldn’t remember how many steps of ladder we took on the way up and down to the river. It feels a loooottt 🙂 And after that, I had to deal with another kind of pain, as my legs and thighs get cramped.

*Here we are posing in one of the resting-point. As, you could possibly notice, behind us was a wall of stone with a beautiful carving of Balinese culture and religion.

As the closure of the whole activity, we had a gathering in Dreamland beach, where we spend the noon with playing some games. The view was amazing with its beautiful sunset, and the game was full of fun.

There’s no way I can forget this trip: the fun and the pain that left 🙂 I wonder, will I have the same excitement again, next year?
