I just realise recently that the way to add more traffic to your blog is through community. There are lots of blog-community scattered around the world of internet, some of them are gathered inside the so-called Blog Aggregator. Two of the most famous (in my version, yeah) are Planet Terasi and Merdeka.or.id.
I do want to be part of those 2 communities. But, I must comply with some requirement, and also pass some tight screening process that usually is done by the members of those communities. It could take a lot of effort, and somehow — I don’t feel confident that they would take me in 🙂
So, why not making your own community? I have this thought across my mind for several weeks, when I found the fact that some of my colleagues in office, spend their spare time by blogging.
The idea is simple: exchange my blog with my friends’s blogs. Not only that would make it sufficient, I also ask them to put my bloglink (web address) into their blogroll and I would do the same to their link in my blog. You would see this in a picture below taken from my blog:
And as I have put my friends’ link, they would (hopefully) put my link in their blog, just like shown below (taken from Sahat’s blog after some editing):
I guess you know, what will happen next. Anyone who visit our blog would (hopefully, again) see those blogroll and click one of it — as it may come to their attention. For example, somebody would recognise Sahat as his/her long-time-no-see friend, etc.
Will it work? Sure it does works. As my blog (wordpress) give the facility to track-back the visitor, and where they get my blog from (referrer).. I keep finding the fact that some of the visitors actually come from Sahat’s blog or my other friends’ blog. So this is a very effective way to increase your traffic: GUARANTEED!
Yeah, I actually have other ideas about this traffic-increment anyway. But, I still need to ‘cook’ it, till it get well-cooked and can be served to all of you.
